Volunteering is a movement that summons many people worldwide and has become a form of civil society participation in various areas that serve communities. It is a practice that also extends to culture and heritage, areas in which Museums and Monuments de Portugal operates, helping us to respond to issues that arise from the activities that museums, monuments, and palaces carry out to fulfil its missions, within the legislative framework and in response to the constraints that contextual realities bring. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for those who wish to join the movement, actively participating in the construction of a more cohesive and supportive society.
